Jothi (42) wife of Pugazhendhi is a resident of PN Pudhur in Coimbatore. On 22nd of last month she went to an ATM centre in Cross cut road Gandhipuram. When she tried to withdraw cash from the ATM but could not draw the money. A stranger who was standing next in line offered to help her to withdraw the money.
Using Jothi's ATM card he withdrew money and the same was handed over to Jothi. After he handed over the money to Jothi he gave an ATM card he brought with him instead of Jothi's ATM card and left the place. After a while, Jothi received an SMS on her mobile phone that rupees 30,000 has been withdrawn from her account using her ATM card.
When Jothi went to the bank and enquired she found out that she was cheated by the person who offered help. She immediately filed a complaint at the Katoor police station. Police registered a case and started the investigation.
Police arrested the person with involved in this crime. Upon enquiry police found that the accused is Senthilkumar from Therku theru in Anamalai near Pollachi. Police arrested the person and lodged him in the prison.
