City corporation collects 15.73 crores in two days!


As of yesterday, the City Corporation collected 11.03 crores of pending taxes after their announcement of acceptance of demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes to clear all pending corporation tax dues. The astounding response from the public followed by their request to stretch the dates over the weekend, Special Officer Vijayakarthikeyan extended the date of last payment to 14th November. 

Officials from CCMC share that, 4.70 crores of pending taxes were collected today in all five zones respectively.

East Zone - 74.29 crores

West Zone - 75.25 crores

South Zone - 60.48 crores

North Zone - 1.03 crores

Central Zone - 1.56 crores. 

'Tomorrow being a weekend, it is expected that more public would remit their pending dues. All necessary arrangements to ease remittance has been made', said Special Officer.
