We have ear-marked reserve sites to plant saplings and create gardens/nurseries, with the help of residents and volunteers by that way encroachments could be reduced. To maintain the trees and gardens, the CCMC would work hand-in-hand with students, volunteers, residents association and NGO's. Fencing at all reserve sites is also part of the plan. The works on surveying the land belonging to the corporation and register the lands using geo-tagging process are under progress.
In the first leg of inspection 40 sites in East zone, 21 sites in west zone, 37 sites in North zone and 40 zones in south zone have been identified for documentation under the geo-tagging process. In total 159 sites have been identified and documented. The encroachment drive will continue, until all land belonging to the corporation is secured.”
