Ten people hurt after car slams into crowd at ATM.

More than ten people including 2 children were hurt as a car slammed into the crowd at Chinnipalayam, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) ATM. 

Since the announcement of demonetisation of 1000's and 500's, people have been thronging the ATM's to withdraw useable denominations for handling their daily needs. This evening, the IOB branch ATM at Chinniampalayam had a long queue of people awaiting their turn to withdraw cash. Unexpectedly a car enroute from Coimbatore to Tiruppur slammed in the crowd and injured more than 10 people. The care also banged on a stationery car that was parked in the same area leaving injuries to two kids Yashika and Ashwika and a pregnant woman, Sreeja. It is reported that Ashika had sustained severe head injuries and presently getting treated at a private hospital. All the other injured from the crowd along with the kids and the pregnant woman were rushed to a nearby private hospitals. However, no casualties were reported. 

The car was supposedly driven by a college student named, Sanjay. The Peelamedu police have registered a case against the accident and took the offender into custody.
