Corporation collects Rs.2.66 crores tax in a day

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and presiding officer Dr Vijay Karthikeyan said that Rs.2.66 crores in form of the various taxes like property tax, drinking water tax and business tax has been collected on Tuesday. When speaking about the collection of taxes he said, “Rs.2.66 crores has been collected from the five corporation zones of the Coimbatore Corporation on Tuesday. Rs.58.74 lakhs was collected from the east zone. West zone corporation office has collected Rs.45.04 lakhs as taxes, Rs31.11 lakhs has been collected in the South zone, North zone has collected Rs.44.19 lakhs and the central zone collected Rs.87.39 lakhs as taxes. In total the money collected as tax from all zones is Rs.2.66 crores.” he said.
