Yesterday, Chandramohan B, Secretary of Revenue Department, Government of Tamil Nadu from Chennai, visited the District Collectorate. During this visit he interacted with various top officials of the district administration. He made enquiries of the implementation of various welfare schemes sanctioned by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J. Jayalalithaa.

The District Collectorate receives petitions from the public on various pressing issues. Chandramohan, enquired about the status of the petitions filed by the public. Officials at the district collectorate shared the number of petitions received and the respective status with this official.
During this visit, this officer also made an official enquiry about the steps taken by the disaster management team that has been formed. The district collector briefed him on the disaster management team that has formed exclusively to mange tough situations.
The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) has given a provision to the public to pay up their pending taxes and dues with demonetised 500's and 1000's. The officer was briefed of the various measures that have been implemented by the CCMC to improve the sanitary standards and towards collection of taxes on time.. A discussion was also made in regard to online registration proceudure at the Registrar Office in the Collectorate.
Though the city has not received monsoons as predicted, Revenue Officer Chandramohan reviewed the current reports indicating the water levels at various dams adjoining the district of Coimbatore. During this meet, Special Officer, CCMC, VijayaKarthikeyan, District Revenue Officer, T. Christu Raj, Pollachi Sub-Collector, Gayathri Krishnan and officials from the CCMC and district collectorate. were present.
