Rs 1.32 cr seized in Rajasthan, 12 detained

Twelve people have been detained and Rs 1.32 crore, a part of which was in demonetised banknotes and newly introduced Rs 2,000 notes, has been seized from three cars in Alwar district, police said today. 

The cash was recovered from the vehicles during checking at Kishangarh Baas area. A part of the cash was in old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. The rest in newly introduced Rs 2,000, and Rs 100, Rs 50, Rs 20 and Rs 10 notes, Alwar SP Rahul Prakash said.

Twelve people, who were transporting the money from Delhi, have been detained and are being interrogated, he said.
