Volunteers join hands with CCMC workers and clean areas in and around Coimbatore Junction


As a part of clean India campaign, the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) has scheduled several cleanup activities from 21st November to 30th November 2016. Sanitary workers of the CCMC and several volunteers participated in a clean-up drive that was hosted this morning at the Coimbatore Railway Junction.



Areas around the Coimbatore Junction like State Bank of India (SBI) premises and auto and bus stand were also cleaned as a part of this drive that lasted from 7 am to 9 am. About 50 volunteers participated in this clean-up drive.



Volunteers and CCMC workers removed illegal advertisement flex boards and posters from various locations around the Coimbatore Junction. As a part of this drive the volunteers and CCMC sanitary workers also educated the shop owners and auto rickshaw drivers the importance of keeping the surroundings clean and tidy.
