Corporation Commissioner inspects commercial establishments in Ward No: 59

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner K. Vijayakarthikeyan today inspected commercial establishments on the ward #59 to check the usage of banned plastic shopping bags. During this inspection, polythene bags which are less than 50 microns in thickness were confiscated from commercial establishment owners.



As a part of this inspection, the commercial establishment owners were also educated about the dangers of using plastic carry bags. Also the business owner was advised to use bags made of cloths instead of plastic bags.



Assistant Corporation Commissioner P. Gandhimathi, Health Officer Dr. K. Santhoshkumar, Assistant Health officer M.Santhoshkumar, Assistant Commissioner Mr. Ravikumar and corporation officials were present during the inspection.
