CCMC collects close to 50 crores of tax dues in a span of 2 weeks.

With just a day to go for the last date for filing Corporation taxes using demonetised 500's and 1000's, CCMC has made a windfall collection of 48.88 crores from 11th November to 23rd November.

The zonal offices and collection centres will be open till tomorrow, 24th November 11:55 pm. Hence the public are requested to make use of this opportunity and pay off their taxes by the end of the day. Today, being the day before the last day, we have collected Rs. 7.07 crores at all five zones. In a span of two weeks, corporation taxes amounting to 48.88 crores have been collected, so far' said Special Officer, Vijayakarthikeyan.

Zone-wise breakup of today's collection:

East - 1.35 crores

West - 1.28 Crores

South - 1.19 crores

North - 80 lakhs

Central - 2.42 crores.

Total - 7.07 crores.
