Stanes CBSE School recently hosted a sports event for parents and children. Through this event, this school emphasizes that sports is vital to ensure the holistic development of the child and as it fosters their physical, social, emotional health of ever child. Through this sports meet this school educated their children that in sports, participation is more important than winning or losing the game.
The Principal, Benjamin, welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. The chief guest hoisted the National Flag and received the salute from the house prefects namely Lions, Panthers, Tigers and Wolves.
The chief guest of the occasion was, 80 year old athlete, Dr. Vasantha Samuel Consultant –Homeopathic and Olympian, who believe that determination opens the doors. In her address to those gathered Dr. Vasantha Samuel, motivated the children to aim higher and keep moving towards their goals.

The movement of victory is too short to live for nothing else. Apart from commemorating victories, sports meets also aim at imparting lessons on sportsman spirit and camaraderie in the students. She motivated the children by setting herself as an example to develop sportsmanship in oneself.
She added by saying “Opportunity never knock the door step, instead look ahead and keep marching ahead to create an opportunity in all circumstances. She concluded her talk by wishing the children a great future ahead”.
A well synchronized Lezim performance by the students of class V was captivating. Students from class I to V performed a mass drill and they also displayed their aerobics talents which was an eye-catching event.
