Mahayudh - Let the ‘Gaming’ begin!

The KGISL campus sported an all new look. This IT hub of Coimbatore was transformed into battlefield. Thanks to the LAN Gaming Premier League called ‘Mahayudh’ that is being hosted at this campus. ‘Mahayudh’ is an initiative of Vishal Venkatesan, CEO, Tech Breakthrough.

“This is a first of its kind unique platform that gives participants an opportunity to experience a weekend that is packed with gaming. The purpose of organizing an event of this nature is to build a platform for all innovative professionals and individuals to showcase their gaming spirit.” Vishal says.

We are told that about 40 teams have registered for this contest and each team can consists of four members each. As part of ‘Mahayudh’, each of the teams will compete against each other by playing the Counter Strike war game.

Counter Strike Global Offence is a big hit among gaming folks. Through ‘Mahayudh’, we are providing the gaming enthusiasts an opportunity to showcase their gaming skills and ability. Through elimination rounds, teams will be eliminated and this gaming contest is being organised on the lines of survival of the fittest.

The grand finale of Mahayudh is scheduled to take place tomorrow (27 November), and during the valedictory function, a cash reward of rupees 75,000 will be given away to winners.

At this venue, in order to encourage start-ups and young entrepreneurs and to spread the message of technology and innovation, the organizers have allowed budding start-ups to showcase their products and services.

There are a few stalls that have on display innovative products and services like 3D printing, automation sensor app and there is a stall pit up by a local academy that trains people in the art of gaming.

All in all, ‘Mahayudh’ has successfully managed to give people of this city an opportunity to get up close and personal with Counter Strike. “It is indeed a great stress buster and it is pretty evident from the crowd since morning.” saying this Vishal leaves us.
