The guardians of our city, who have a reputation of going any length, to ensure that law and order is maintained in our city, are lending a helping hand to the public. The city police force has become the public’s friend in need and in deed! In a kind gesture, the Commissioner of Police, (COP), A. Amalraj, declared open, one the ATMs that is located in the Commissioner of Police’s campus.
We are told that the State Bank of India (SBI) ATM was installed at this campus about one-and-a-half months ago. “This ATM was open only to police personnel per se. Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a ban on the 500 and 1,000 rupees currency notes, the public is facing a cash crunch. Considering the current situation, the COP has allowed the general public to make use of the SBI ATM that is located inside the COPs office campus.” Deputy Commissioner of Police - Traffic, Coimbatore S. Saravanan says.
