District Collector announces '1077' hot line number for all rain related emergencies.


With a cyclone alert issued in our state capital, necessary precautionary measures have have been taken in our city. District Collector T.N. Hariharan has announced a hotline number '1077' to handle all rain-related grievances. 

While speaking to the press, he shared that “All precautionary measures have been taken in the district of Coimbatore following the cyclone 'Nada'. 

31 areas in the district have been ear-marked as flood prone areas and relief camps have been established in all such places for handling emergency situations. Mettupalayam, places along the Bhavani river and Perur rivers are few places were the relief camps are set.  People residing at low-lying areas have been warned on the situation as well.

A hot line number 1077 number has been announced in regard to these rains. About four special teams have been formed to handle emergency situations of any kind. The city administration is in a prepared state to handle any emergency.”
