The count-down to Christmas has begun and the natives of this city are busy shopping for decorative pieces to do up their homes this season. Known to promote art and craft among children, city-based Art Houz of Jenneys Club today hosted a workshop to train children in making decorative pieces that are exclusive to this season.
An arts and crafts workshop was organised by Rotaract Club of PSGCAS and Rotary Coimbatore City in partnership with Art Houz. Children who participated in the workshop were trained on making their Christmas gifts and decorative pieces.
Artist Gayathri Krishnan trained the participants to make the various crafts. The students were given training, on how to create, from scratch, snow globe (4-7yrs), lantern making (8-12 yrs), wreath making (13-16 yrs) and geo wreath making (above 16 years). The workshop was hosted at the Jenneys club.
