Walking Stick Trust organises award function for differently-abled persons

An award function for the differently-abled persons was organised by the ‘Oondrukol Arakattalai’ an organisation that works for the differently-abled persons today. The event was hosted at the Divyodhya hall in the city.



This programme was hosted as a part of International Day of People with a Disability day this is observed today, 3 December. At this event, awards were presented to ten differently-abled persons from across the state, for fighting the odds and for making a mark for themselves.



Equipments that can help the differently-abled perform routine activates, were distributed to them. At this event, the various organisations that are working for the empowerment of the differently-abled were also honoured for the respective work that they have carried out.

At this programme, it was proposed to start a marriage exchange and an employment exchange for the differently-abled persons.
