1.26 acres of encroached corporation land recovered

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and Presiding Officer Dr.Vijaya Karthikeyan through a press release informed that encroachments on 1.26 acres of land belonging to the Coimbatore Corporation has been recovered and a sign board on behalf of the Coimbatore Corporation has been installed.

Encroachments were removed from 40.2 cents of land worth Rs.2.5 crores at Kanjimanagar in Kalapatti, 25 cents of land in ward 5 in S.B nagar in Kavundampalayam worth Rs.2.5 crores, 1 cent of land in Siavanadaouram in Saravanampatti worth Rs.0.25crores, 14 cents of land worth Rs.2.5 crores at Abirami nagar in Manikarampalayam road, 22 cents of land in Vigensh Layout in Kurichi which comes under the Corporation south zone, 24 cents of land in Kasturi Nagar in Kuniyamuthur, 60 cents of land which was occupied in ward 72 in the central zone are the sites which were recovered by the Coimbatore Corporation.

In total 1.26 acres of land worth Rs.13.55 crores was recovered in the last two days. Corporation Commissioner also stated that the land recovery exercise will continue.
