Ahead of the debut global summit, TiE successfully hosted a run for entrepreneurship in Coimbatore


TiE is one of the world's largest network of entrepreneurs and investment professionals. TiE that has a presence in multiple cities across the world is all set to host its debut run called StartupStrides in India. StartupStrides is a run that was hosted in over 10 cities across the world to support the startup ecosystem.  This run is hosted in sync with the theme of the first ever TiE Global Summit ‘A Million entrepreneurs NOW’. This summit is scheduled to be hosted in our national capital on 16th and 17th December, 2016.



In Coimbatore, several participants ran either the three or five kilometre run this morning in support of this mission. The run was flagged off by Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, Dr Vijay Karthikeyan. Joining Coimbatore, this Pan-India initiative was flagged off in Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hubli. Hyderabad, Kerala, Nagpur, Rajasthan, and Tampa Bay.



Speaking on this, G. Karthikeyan, President TiE Coimbatore Chapter, 'Through this initiative, we want to assure the budding entrepreneurs and startups that we are with them to support and take their ideas, innovations on the global map. The mini marathon aims at powering up and creating startup awareness in the system. With the City enriched wth Entrepreneurial DNA, this initiative would add more power to it'. 



Anusha Ravi, Event Chair and CEO of Park Institutions said “Starting a startup is not as easy as it seems to be. It is no less than a marathon itself. Therefore, with StartupStrides, we wish to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship in our country. This global summit is all about million entrepreneurs and million dreams. I would like to take this opportunity to urge the young and the aspiring entrepreneurs to join us for this interesting concept.”
