A school friend of former Chief Minister, J Jayalalitha who is living in Coimbatore has shared with SimpliCity her days as a school student.

Anuradha is the eldest daughter of U.R. Jeevarathnam a former actor and singer. Anuradha (70) is a retired teacher and living in Idikarai in Coimbatore. Sharing memories of former chief minister’s school life she said, “We studied together at the Presentation Convent Church Park School from 6th Standard to 10th Standard. Jayalalitha was a good hearted person. She was good in studies and we together have performed in the dance events in our school.”
“She always loved to eat vegetarian food. She secured first place in 10th standard public examinations and after that she said she would continue her PUC in Stella Mary’s college. But she could not continue her education. When she started to act in films, I would go to theatres to watch her movies with my entire family.”
“She was same in the films as she was in the school. I was amazed at her acting talent. I was dejected when I learned that she is no more, it is an irreparable loss, she is no more, yet her memories will remain evergreen', said Anuradha, who was seen crying all through the conversation.
