AIADMK party members conducted a protest condemning the DMK Circle Secretary of the 48th ward of Coimbatore corporation for speaking ill about their deceased leader. It has been reported that the DMK Circle Secretary of the 48th ward of Coimbatore corporation was talking ill about the former CM J. Jayalalitha who passed away recently in Chennai after prolonged stay at the hospital due to illness.
Following this comment by the DMK party person, more 70 members of AIADMK party members led by member of Coimbatore corporation’s financial committee Prabhakaran protested in front of the 48th circle DMK office in Coimbatore. The situation grew tense as they protested by blocking the road.
They withdrew the protest after the police held talks with the protesters. The AIADMK members have filed a complaint to the Rathinapuri Police station seeking action is taken against people who spoke ill about J. Jayalalitha.
