'Work force along with relief materials dispatched from Coimbatore has reached Chennai', CCMC


Coimbatore Corporation has sent relief materials along with sanitary workers to assist the team in Chennai. A team of 150 sanitary workers, 10 sanitary supervisors and 2 sanitary inspectors have been rushed to cyclone affected Chennai to assist the army and the locals who are involved in relief and rescue operations in and around this city.



Corporation commissioner Dr. K. Vijaya Karthikeyan flagged off the vehicles carrying the work force and the materials last night. Safety equipments and accessories to help in relief and rescue operations have also been sent from Coimbatore in separate vehicles.
