Home loan on Wheels initiative launched by SBI

You do not have to visit the State Bank of India to avail a home loan, instead the home loan will be offered to you right at your door step. This is the promise of the new initiative called Home Loan on Wheels, an initiative of the SBI. This initiative began on 14 December this year and it is expected to come to a close on 28 February the following year.



Home Loan on Wheels is an initiative by SBI, to reach out to its new and existing home loan borrowers and society at large by dispensing cash at POS machines installed in the mobile vans and explaining the benefits of SBI home loans and the savings customer may derive from takeover of loans towards SBI from other financial institution.

Home Loan on Wheels was flagged off by R.S. Ramesh, D.G.M, Business and Operations, Administrative Unit Coimbatore at Administrative Unit Coimbatore. After flag off, the vehicles, will travel on pre-planned route daily for customer and society connect. The bank also plans to conduct the initiative at various onsite locations of employees, residential complexes and other public places.  

With the current demonetisation drive of the government and push towards digital payments, the launch of Home Loan on Wheels with POS machines in mobile van, gives the customer an option to withdraw cash at their convenience at their place of choice without having the need to visit the ATM thereby saving a lot of time and efforts.
