Training for government officials in Coimbatore




Coimbatore district collector T. N. Hariharan inaugurated the basic training programme for the government officers at the PRS grounds in Coimbatore today. When speaking during the inauguration Coimbatore district collector said, “Government employees training centre is functioning from 1974. Junior office assistants, personal assistants, persons who got promotions as office assistants, junior office assistants who are appointed on compassionate grounds and those who are promoted as office assistant from other posts are also given training. Coimbatore training centre is a special training centre for woman. 8 teams have been formed for the training purpose.”

The training for the first batch of 243 personnel is starting today. The training will conclude on 28 January the following year. The training will continue for all other batches up to 2018 in January. Training will be given on office procedure, service procedure, public relation, rural development and accounts. 1650 employees were trained during 2014-2016. Principal of Government employee basic training centre M. Balachandran, Lecturers M. Samiappan, Narasimman, Superintendent Thangavelu participated in the inauguration function of this event.
