Isha Foundation’s Anandha Alai programme telecasted live across Tamil Nadu

Anandha Alai yoga programme which was conducted by founder of Isha Foundation Jaggi Vasudev, on 17th and 18th December was telecast live across 63 venues in important cities all over Tamil Nadu using satellite dishes.



The classes were hosted in 32 places in Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Salem, Erode, Madurai and Tirunelveli. In each venue a yoga teacher who was trained by Isha Foundation trained the participants. Isha volunteers served food to the participants of this yoga event. More than 3000 persons participated in the yoga classes from west zones cities of Erode, Dharmapuri, Salem, Gobichettipalayam, Hosur, Kangeyam, Krishnagiri, Prundurai, Tiruppur and Vellakovil. In the classes which were hosted at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore more than 4000 people participated.





When speaking during the programme Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev said, “21 thousand members participated in the programme conducted by me. I bow to the people of Tamil Nadu. A few generations ago everyone in India had some sort spiritual achievement. It is time to recreate feat again. The revolution which began 36 years ago in a peaceful manner is now roaring. A chance like this will happen only once in many generations. Let us make this happen.” he said.

About 10,000 saplings were handed over to volunteers from Chennai which is impacted by the cyclone. Those who received the saplings took an oath to plant and maintain the saplings.
