MDMK party members in Coimbatore protest condemning the denial of permission for Vaiko to visit Karunanidhi at hospital

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party President Muthuvel Karunanidhi is undergoing treatment for his illness at a private hospital in Chennai. Leader of various political parties are visiting him at the hospital. Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) party President Vaiko went to the hospital to meet the DMK president. DMK party members who were present in front the hospital threw stones and footwear at him opposing his visit, due to which he returned without meeting Karunanidhi.

Condemning the stone throwing incident on their leader, MDMK cadres from all over Tamil Nadu are initiated various protests in several parts of our state. In Coimbatore, MDMK members protested in Gandhipuram condemning the act of the DMK party members. District secretary of the MDMK Mohankumar lead the protest. Participants shouted slogans against those who opposed Vaiko’s visit. They also requested the police to take action against the persons who threw stones at their leader, Vaiko. More than 50 members of MDMK party participated in this protest.
