Three cases of dengue reported in the city.


In spite of the Health department and Coimbatore Corporation initiating various efforts to curb spread of dengue fever in the city, presently, three people are admitted in the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment.

Out of the three victims, two girls are from Tirupur and the other women is from Coimbatore. Complaining of continuous fever, all three were disgnosed with Dengue after their blood reports confirmed signs of Dengue virus in their blood.

Soundarvel, Resident Doctor said that all the three persons who are undergoing treatment are strictly monitored and presently recovering fast. And, that GH is well-equipped to handle the situation as there is sufficient amount of medicines and platelets in stock. He also emphasized that people should keep their premise clean and avoid water stagnation around residential areas. Compared to last year, this year dengue spread is under control, he said.
