On the orders of Coimbatore corporation commissioner, Vijaya Karthikeyan, an inspection was conducted on December 23rd at the pay and use toilet on Trichy road opposite to the Coimbatore general hospital.
During the inspection, it was found that the contractor Rahmathullah's employees were collecting excess fees than the fixed amount. As per the auction rules, the rate fixed for using the toilet was Rs.1. But it was found that Rs.3 was been collected from the users.
Following which the contractor V.K. Rahmathullah was fined Rs.10000 and a final warning was also issued to the contractor.
