SKASC department heads interact with Dean, School of Business, Clayton State University, Georgia

The heads of the various departments of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC), Coimbatore today had an interaction with Dr. Avinandan Mukerjee, Dean, School of Business, Clayton State University, Georgia, USA. Dr. Mukerjee is at this college, on invite as chief guest to inaugurate the two-day conference on viral marketing that will be hosted at this college on 5 and 6 January.



During this intercalation, Dr. Mukerjee applauded the Indian educational institutions for having brought more job opportunities to the students. He said “A student cannot get a job in the campus in USA. In India, the students have more opportunities to get a job from the educational institutions through campus recruitments. So, we have to train their skills. For this, every educational programme must have a global content.”



“One of the industry always exists in all the periods is education. The educational institutions must cater the local areas need and address the problems in these areas through the educational process. The educational institutions always make the customers for life and it must justify their investments.  Outcome based education is very essentials in terms of justifying their invested money by imparting learning.”

“American Educational systems greatly value the partnerships. Outstanding infrastructure, proper teaching and learning process, partnerships with world educational systems are the need of the hour.  Have more collaboration with world educational institutions. Thanks to academic collaborations a majority of students pursue higher education in USA.”

“You cannot publish in good journals without collaborations. Publish in reputed journal. Do not stop the publications and equally promote, extend the activities and also publish in the leading newspapers and also track down in the social media. Make other authors use your research articles for their studies.  For a good research, take the recent topics and create the titles as interesting. Teaching must also be based on our research.”

This meeting was initiated by Dr P Babagnanakumar, Principal of the college and heads of the departments interacted with the guest.
