Women inspector suspended for misappropriation of money

Senthil Kumar from Pollachi stole an ATM card and money from a professor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) on the pretext of helping him to withdraw cash from the ATM. Senthil Kumar gave the professor a fake ATM card. It has been reported that later, he used the professor's ATM card and withdrew Rs.35000 cash from the ATM.

Kattoor police who were investigating the case lead by Crime branch Inspector Priya Malini arrested Senthil Kumar. Police recovered Rs. 1 lakh and six thousand from his home. However, while entering in the register the police entered a lower value. When Coimbatore Commissioner of Police, A. In this regard, inspector Priya Malini was suspended for misappropriation of funds. Higher officials have stated that an explanation has been sought from Priya Malini and if she is found guilty, action will be taken against her as per the law.
