Bosch India Foundation has joined hands with Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore to host an oncology and dental medical camp at Kondaiyampalayam Panchayat, Sarkarsamakulam block, Coimbatore.
As a part of this medical camp, experts from this hospital screened the natives of this region for breast cancer and cervical cancer. Women who got screened at this camp were also instilled with due awareness by the doctors on self-tests to detect breast cancers and genital hygiene.
In another section of this medical camp, the villagers including children were put through a complete dental check-up at the mobile dental van. Children were briefed on ways to keep maintain their oral hygiene. The doctors advised the children to floss their mouth after every meal, especially after intake of chocolates and to brush their teeth before going to bed.
Free medicines were provided by Sri Ramakrishna Pharmacy which were distributed to the patients by doctors at this medical camp.
Over 100 villagers, including children and women got benefited through this camp.
