Pongal was celebrated in an international school near Chinnavedampatti in Coimbatore. Students celebrated Pongal by cooking Pongal using raw rice in a mud pot. Traditional dances like Mayilattam, Oyilaattam and Poikkal Kuthirai were performed by students.

The foreigners from France, London and other countries who participated in the celebrations were dressed in traditional Indian attire. They danced together with the children of this school. Kuchi Mittai, Kuruvi Rotti, Javvu Mittai were sold at the venue. Kili joshiyam was also hosted at the venue.
