With traditional food and games, students of Sri Krishna Educational Institutions celebrate Pongal with great pomp.


Forgetting all the barriers of caste, creed, religion and colour, the students of Sri Krishna Institutions celebrated the festival of harvest with their staff and management. Games and sports that have their origin from this region came alive as a part of the Pongal celebrations.



Traditional sports and competitions and cultural events were hosted during the celebrations. Professors from this colleges participated in this competition along with officials from the management and students. Tug of war, Uri Adithal, and hide and seek games were played by the students. 

Speaking on this, the organizers from the Management said that, 'Today's youth are unaware of these traditional way of celebrations and the age-old sports we played. By reminding them of such sports during these occasions will help carry our traditions to the next generation'. 



The students and staff of the catering and hotel management department of the college cooked traditional food and served it to all those who participated in the celebrations. The PG students of Social Work department students of the college celebrated Pongal at a hamlet, Nagalur, near Sathyamangalam forest.

Students, professors and natives of this village had a gala time during the celebration. The students and the natives of this village jointly cooked Pongal dish and enjoyed the moment. Definitely, it will remain to be a memorable day for the villagers and the students.   



Sundaraman CEO, of the college inaugurated the event. Principals of Krishna Group of Institutions Janet, Ramesh, Baba Gananakumar, Radhika, Management Department Director Ramakrishnan, professors and students participated in this event.
