Students pour Pepsi and Coke products on road as a mark of protest against PETA.

A group of private polytechnic college students in Coimbatore today protested for Jallikattu by pouring Coke and Pepsi products on road. Students of a polytechnic college in Thirumalayamapalayam which is located on the Palakkad highway protested seeking the removal of ban on Jallikattu. They broke Coke and Pepsi bottles as a mark of protest against PETA which has its headquarters in USA.

Today alone more than 25,000 students have gathered today at the VOC grounds and this is the 3rd day the protests continue. As the colleges have declared holiday due to the protests the crowd at the protest venue is swelling day by day. The protestors are determined that the protests will continue until a permanent solution is derived for the ban on Jallikattu.

Following the protests, the traffic seems to be very congested in Avinashi road, especially at the VOC Juncture.
