The city corporation has begun it's preliminary work at the site allotted for construction of a Park in ward no:68, Valliammal street, Ramanathapuram.
Soon, the residents of this area will have a well-designed park with a spacious children's play area, walking tracks and benches for senior citizen.
Today an inspection at the site allotted for the Park was conducted by Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan.
He inspected the preliminary works carried out at the site and interacted with the officials on duty on the work-in-progress. Post inspection, Special Officer interacted with the residents of Valliammal street and discussed about dengue awareness and insisted them to keep their residential areas clean.
The sanitary works carried out by the staff of CCMC at ward:no:68 was also briefed to him by the officials. Later he visited the retrieved reserve site belonging to CCMC at the Ramalingajyothi street of ward no: 68.
Deputy Corporation Commissioner, P. Gandhimathi, District Welfare Officer, K.Santoshkumar, Asst. Commissioner (central zone), Mohanasundari, Asst. Town Planning Officer, Hemalatha and other Assistant Executive Engineers were present during the ward inspection.
