Student who attempted suicide during the Jallikattu protests in Coimbatore hospitalised

Naveen a native of Nilakottai is a second year college student of a private college in Coimbatore. He participated in the protests that are being held at the VOC grounds in support of Jallikattu.

It has been reported that this afternoon, he tried to commit suicide with a rope that he has brought with him. Fellow protestors who were around prevented him from attempting suicide and he was to the Coimbatore Government Hospital (GH) for treatment. Resident Medical Officer of the Coimbatore GH said that he is currently undergoing treatment at this hospital.
