Five wards in Vadavalli to get siruvani water through lorries, says Corporation Commissioner.

The emerging water crisis in the city of Coimbatore pose a serious threat to the residents as the summer is yet to begin. The city corporation has been supplying water through lorries to areas which are under severe water crisis.

In this regard, CCMC, Special Officer, Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan has stated that, 'Residents of all the 100 wards in the city should use water responsibly and for any assistance people may contact the helpline numbers issued by the corporation. In the west zone, wrd no's 15, 18, 19, 20 and 21 in Vadavalli which comes under the siruvani drinking water zone will be supplied with siruvani water through lorries, on a daily basis. Those wards (15, 18, 19, 20 and 21) of that zone, will be disbursed two lorries of water for each water, hence ten lorries in total for all the five wards.

As the interlinking of siruvani pipelines with Pilloor lines are under progress, soon rest of the wards will start receiving water from Pilloor' he said.
