Doors of Vaadivasal to open after three years, Jallikattu to be hosted at Alanganallur!

Finally, it's a go for Jallikattu as Governor of Tamil Nadu, Vidya Sagar Rao has given his consent to the ordinance passed by the Tamil Nadu government for conduct of Jallikattu.

It is reported that Jallikattu will flagged off at Alanganallur, the most-famous place for conduct of Jallikattu. O. Paneerselvam, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu will inaugurate the event at 10 am tomorrow, sources say. In rest of the places in Tamil Nadu, dates for conducting Jallikattu will be planned henceforth.

District collectors and officials will hold a discussion regarding the preliminary measures to be taken at the Jallikattu sites.

This ordinance also affirms that bulls have been removed from the performing animal list. However, the ordinance is not an amendment to the law, hence it's valid up to only six months.

The reaction of millions of the gallant supporters who have been hosting protest for the fast five days doesn't seem to be content as this ordinance is just a temporary one.

However, supporters from VOC grounds have unanimously stated that they seek a permanent solution and not a temporary ordinance. This ordinance could have passed several months back but it's done now in an urgent manner in the intent of dissipating the supporters.
