Coimbatore: Students of Prem MMA boxing academy in the city bagged a total of 32 medals at the Tamil Nadu State Amateur Kickboxing Federation Cup 2019 held at Kanchipuram on Sunday.
Coimbatore: Students of Prem MMA boxing academy in the city bagged a total of 32 medals at the Tamil Nadu State Amateur Kickboxing Federation Cup 2019 held at Kanchipuram on Sunday.

As many as 32 students including 5 girl boxers from Prem MMA kickboxing academy took part in the state level competition and has bagged 10 gold, 7 silver and 15 bronze medals to take the medal tally to 32.

Over 600 participants from various parts of the State took part and Coimbatore students have secured fourth place in the overall championship.

Out of the 32 students from Coimbatore,- Tibin, Deephicca, Deva Christy, Fizaan Khan, Adithya, Tharun, Annapoorani, Majith, Niranjan and Umar Basha have qualified to take part in the International Kickboxing Championship that is to be held later in 2020.

Tibin and Deepiccha of MMA Academy were selected as the best player of the championship and coach of MMA academy Prem was selected as the best coach of the tournament.
