Odisha Man Arrested for Selling Ganja Chocolates in Coimbatore

An Odisha man was arrested yesterday in Annur, Coimbatore for selling ganja-infused chocolates. The operation led to the seizure of 12 kilograms of the substance.


Coimbatore: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Coimbatore police have intensified their efforts to eradicate the drug menace in the district. On April 20, following a tip-off received by the Periyanaickenpalayam Prohibition Enforcement Wing, police conducted a raid near the Kanjapalli bus stand in Annur. During the operation, they apprehended Rajesh Kumar Sethi, a 30-year-old from Odisha, for selling chocolates infused with ganja.


Rajesh was subsequently presented in court and has been remanded to custody. Police successfully confiscated 12 kilograms of ganja chocolate from his possession, marking a significant seizure in the ongoing drug enforcement efforts.
