Tourists Banned from Bathing in Kavi Aruvi Due to Increased Water Flow

Due to recent heavy rains near Pollachi in the Western Ghats, water flow in forest streams has increased, causing a flood at Kavi Aruvi. Tourists are prohibited from visiting Kavi Aruvi.


Coimbatore: Following continuous rainfall yesterday (May 22) in the Western Ghats region near Pollachi, the water flow in the streams within the forest areas has significantly increased.



This has led to flooding at Kavi Aruvi, resulting in a ban on tourists from bathing there. Additionally, the forest department is actively monitoring the situation to ensure safety.
