DMK Pays Tribute to Former CM Karunanidhi on 6th Death Anniversary in Tiruppur

DMK members in Tiruppur paid floral tributes to former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on his 6th death anniversary. The event was led by MLA K. Selvaraj at the Municipal Corporation office.


Coimbatore: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) members in Tiruppur commemorated the 6th death anniversary of former Chief Minister and party patriarch M. Karunanidhi on Thursday. The event saw party leaders and cadres paying floral tributes to the portrait of the late leader at various locations across the city.

At the Tiruppur Municipal Corporation office, a special tribute event was organized by the city and district units of the DMK. The ceremony was led by MLA K. Selvaraj, who garlanded the portrait of Karunanidhi and paid his respects.



Following Selvaraj, Tiruppur Mayor Dinesh Kumar, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) city district secretary Nagaraj, and Deputy Mayor Balasubramaniam also offered floral tributes to the portrait of the former Chief Minister. The event saw a significant turnout of DMK functionaries and party workers who gathered to pay their respects to their beloved leader.

The tribute ceremony served as a reminder of Karunanidhi's lasting impact on Tamil Nadu's political landscape and his contributions to the Dravidian movement. Party members recalled his leadership and the various welfare schemes implemented during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
