Awareness Rally on World Breastfeeding Week by College Students and Rotary Club in Tirupur

Over 300 college students and Rotary Club members in Tirupur organized an awareness rally on the importance of breastfeeding, marking World Breastfeeding Week. The event aimed to educate the public about the benefits of breastmilk.


Tirupur: The Rotary Club of Celebration in Tirupur organized an awareness rally to mark World Breastfeeding Week, highlighting the importance of breastfeeding.

The rally, which began at the Municipal Corporation office, saw enthusiastic participation from over 300 female college students.



Municipal Commissioner Pavan Kumar and Deputy Mayor Balasubramaniam flagged off the rally by waving a flag.



The participants carried banners and placards emphasizing the significance of breastfeeding as they marched through the main streets of Tirupur.



The procession, which started from the Municipal Corporation office, concluded at the Rotary Club office on Mangalam Road. The event saw active involvement from students of private colleges and officials from the Rotary Club of Celebration, all united in their effort to spread awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding.

This initiative is part of the global World Breastfeeding Week celebrations, which aim to promote breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world. The organizers hope that such awareness campaigns will encourage more mothers to choose breastfeeding, recognizing its numerous health benefits for both mother and child.
