YouTubers collectively raised and donated Rs. 1,05,000 to Ganesamoorthy, a car driver who participated in a biryani eating contest to fund his autistic son's medical expenses in Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: A heartwarming act of kindness has emerged from a recent biryani eating contest in Coimbatore, where local YouTubers came together to support a participant with a touching backstory.

The contest, held at a newly opened restaurant near Coimbatore Railway Station, attracted hundreds of youngsters from Coimbatore and Kerala. Among the participants was Ganesamoorthy, a car driver who entered the competition hoping to win prize money for his autistic son's medical expenses.

The competition, organized by Bobby Chemmanur, a Kerala-based jeweler, offered cash prizes for eating multiple plates of chicken biryani within half an hour. While no one managed to consume the maximum target of six plates, winners were declared based on the highest consumption.

Ganesamoorthy managed to eat two and a half plates of biryani, securing the second prize of Rs. 50,000. His participation and the reason behind it touched many hearts, and a video featuring his story went viral on social media platforms.

Moved by Ganesamoorthy's situation, several YouTubers, led by Irfan, collectively raised funds to support the family. They managed to gather Rs. 1,05,000 for the child's medical expenses.

The contributors included Food Information Surya (Rs. 10,000), Peppa Foody Ganesh (Rs. 5,000), Ibrish (Rs. 5,000), Inaikku Enna Samayal Sunitha (Rs. 10,000), and Dan JR from Dan JR Vlogs channel (Rs. 25,000). Irfan personally contributed Rs. 50,000 to the cause.

This collaborative effort by the YouTuber community has not only provided financial assistance to Ganesamoorthy's family but also highlighted the power of social media in bringing people together for a noble cause.
