Hindu Athiradi Padai Leader Rajaguru Released on Bail

Hindu Athiradi Padai leader Rajaguru, sentenced to one year imprisonment for a 2015 speech, was released on bail from Coimbatore Central Prison. He was welcomed by other Hindu organization leaders.


Coimbatore: The leader of Hindu Athiradi Padai, Rajaguru, who was sentenced to one year imprisonment in a case related to a public meeting held in 2015, was released on bail from Coimbatore Central Prison on Thursday morning.

The case stems from a public meeting organized by Hindu organizations on Raja Veedhi in Coimbatore in 2015. Rajaguru was booked by the Variety Hall Road Police for his speech at this gathering. In 2024, he was sentenced to one year imprisonment in this case.



Following an appeal in the Madras High Court, Rajaguru was granted bail today. Upon his release from the Coimbatore Central Prison, he was welcomed by Bhima Pandi, the leader of Hindu Makkal Puratchi Padai, and Lotus Manikandan, the leader of Hindustan Makkal Seva Iyakkam.

The release of Rajaguru has drawn attention from various Hindu organizations in the city. While his supporters celebrate his release, authorities remain vigilant to maintain law and order in the wake of this development.
