While Manoj was standing in an empty plot in the area, a youth approached him, threatened him with a knife, and snatched his mobile phone and Rs. 1400 in cash before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, Manoj filed a complaint with the Selvapuram police station. The police registered a case and began their investigation. Their efforts led to the arrest of Ranjith Guru (39), a resident of Sivasakthi Nagar in Telungupalayam, who was identified as the perpetrator of the robbery.
