Debt drives man to commit suicide



A 37-year-old man from Kovai Pudhur committed suicide by hanging on Wednesday, after failing to repay his debt.

According to police, R. Natarajamoorthy was living with his family in the N-Block of a housing unit at Kovai Pudhur near CBM College. He had borrowed money from many persons but had failed to return the same.

Depressed over the family’s financial situation and his worsening debts, Natarajamoorthy committed suicide by hanging himself in the early hours on Wednesday. A case has been registered with the Kuniyamuthur police and investigations are on.
