Three Coimbatore-based students to take part in Regional finals of Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) held at Bhopal
: Coimbatore: Three Coimbatore-based students studying in reputed higher educational institutions in the city have made it to the Regional finals of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA).
The Coimbatore chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO), recently hosted the GSEA, the premier global competition for student entrepreneurs who actively run a business. The 2021 edition of GSEA saw as many as 87 entries from student entrepreneurs. Of them, 27 were shortlisted for the semi finals and 6 students competed in the final round.
Student entrepreneurs from Coimbatore
Student entrepreneur, Poornima who is studying commerce and also successfully running a business of manufacturing sanitary napkins was declared as first winner. She makes and sells sanitary napkins under the brand name "Endogiene". And, for his motorbike renting venture "Rtrix", engineering student, Dilip Kumar was declared as second winner followed by engineering student who runs his business of ethical hacking under the name "Cybrin"emerged as third winner in the contest.
All winners were rewarded a cash prize of Rs.1 lakh, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively, besides getting an opportunity to compete in the regional and global finale.
