The Principal Dr.P.Manimaran, Vice Principal Dr.D.Banu, has presided over the function. P.N.Ramesh Assistant Professor, Department of CSE has welcomed the gathering and emphasized the quote “Planting trees today, gives a better and bright future tomorrowâ€.
Faculty and student volunteers of Karpagam Institute of Technology planted herbal fruit plants inside the campus. The Chief guest Dr.R.Ilangovan, former Vice Chairman PWD, WRD, Tamil Nadu, gave a virtual lecture to the gathering. He expressed his insights “to save mother earth and plant more treesâ€.
This activity helps to bring awareness among students about the problems, dangers faced by the planet earth and the measures that need to be taken to preserve the ailing planet. The event came to an end with everyone pledging to take the initiative of saving the environment and making their contribution for a cleaner and greener Earth.
