Coimbatore: To mark 'World Environment Day,' 100 saplings were planted inside the Park Technical College campus in Karumathampatti. The event was organized by students and professors of the Department of Environmental Engineering.
The Chief Executive Officer of Park Technical College, Dr. Anusha Ravi, and professors and students pledged to be friends with the environment even as Dr. Anusha Ravi led the planting of 100 saplings which were donated by an alumnus of the college.
A floral tribute was paid to the late former President Abdul Kalam and late Padmasree Actor Vivek for their contribution to the cause of preserving the environment.
The event was concluded with an art show.
