TNAU to host 'Agronova' 22' on July 4 and 5 in campus

'Agronova 22' serves as a platform to unearth talents and also to learn about agriculture, with on-stage and off-stage events held separately for school and college students.



Coimbatore: 'Agronova 22' - an event to create awareness about agriculture will be held on July 4 and 5 at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore.

The theme for the event is 'Climate change as a perk for agriculture' with the tagline being 'Outsmarting the climate barriers.' 'Agronova 22' serves as a platform to unearth talents and also to learn about agriculture. On-stage and off-stage events are held separately for school and college students.

The events for schools which are to be held on July 4 are Quiz (Tamil &English), Elocution (Tamil), Poetry (Tamil & English), Models, Collage, Pencil sketch, Kirukkals, Origami and Varthai Vilayattu. The following day, July 5, is scheduled for college events such as Memes, Quiz, Mime, Shipwreck, Debate, Poetry (English & Tamil), Poster Presentation, Claycraft, Artsy Lens, Treasure Hunt, Pot Painting and Minute to Fame.

As part of the event, the brochure of 'Agronova' was released by Dr. N Venkatesa Palanichamy, Dean (Agriculture) on June 21 at TNAU, Coimbatore. TNAU invites participants to register freely through www.agronova2k22.com. The registration has begun on June 17 and closes by June 28. TNAU also provides an opportunity for the public to visit the displayed models and the depicted innovations in agriculture, portrayed in the lawn exhibition.
